This Privacy Policy explains how Unscripted Leadership collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data. Unscripted Leadership is operated jointly by the two companies below, which act as joint data controllers responsible for your personal data:

This policy applies to personal data we collect through our website unscripted-leadership.com, through our registration and reply forms, through the emails we send, at our gatherings, and through any other contact with website visitors, guests, speakers, and partners. How we collect your data

We collect personal data directly from you when you complete one of our forms, reply to an invitation, buy a ticket, or contact us; at our gatherings when you attend; and automatically when you visit our website or open our emails. If someone else registers you, or names you as their assistant, we receive your details from them. If you give us the details of another person, please make sure they are aware of this policy.

Why we process your data, and our legal bases

We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the circumstances, we rely on one or more of the following:

Third-party services and processors

We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate this website. Each processes personal data on our behalf or as an independent controller and is governed by its own privacy policy. We share only the data necessary for the relevant service:

When you complete the registration form, the details you submit are transmitted directly to HubSpot, our customer relationship management provider, which stores and processes them on our behalf as a data processor. HubSpot is a US company with EU data hosting; transfers are covered by its own safeguards, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not load HubSpot's tracking script on this website, so your visit is not tracked and no HubSpot cookies are set on these pages. Where calls or meetings are recorded or transcribed through these services, this is done only with the awareness of the participants involved. As Unscripted Leadership's activities develop, we may engage additional providers and will update this policy accordingly. We exercise no control over these providers' own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Our emails

We send our emails through HubSpot. To understand which of our emails are useful and to keep our mailing list accurate, our emails measure whether they have been opened and which links in them are clicked. This works through a small image and through links that pass via HubSpot before reaching their destination, and it is recorded against your contact record.

Where the law requires your consent for this measurement, we ask for it before we send you marketing emails. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how our emails are received. You can stop this measurement at any time by unsubscribing through the link in every email, by asking us to switch it off for your address, or by setting your email program not to load images automatically.

Filming and photography at our gatherings

Our gatherings are filmed and photographed, and the recordings may be published on our website, on Unscripted Leadership's social media channels, and in our communications. Before a gathering, each guest and speaker receives the Unscripted Participant Release, through which you choose whether you appear in recordings we publish. We respect that choice when editing and publishing.

You may withdraw your agreement at any time by writing to info@unscripted-leadership.com. We will then not use recordings of you in anything we publish from that point, and we will remove you from material we have already published where this is reasonably possible. Recordings are stored with the file storage providers named above and kept for as long as we use them in our communications or archive.

International data transfers

Some of our providers are based outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data abroad, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism: a destination country recognised as providing adequate protection; the Swiss–US and EU–US Data Privacy Frameworks for certified recipients; or appropriate contractual safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional measures where needed. Cookies and website data

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or third-party tracking. Fonts are served from this website rather than a third-party font network, so viewing these pages does not share your data with a font provider. If we add cookies or analytics later, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

How long we keep your data

We keep the details you submit only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, and we delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed or on your request. Where a statutory retention period applies, we keep the relevant records for that period.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Information submitted through our website is encrypted in transit. Access to personal data is limited to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to address any incident appropriately.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you; to ask us to correct, delete, or restrict it; to object to certain processing; to request a copy in a portable format; and to withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.

Children

Our website is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
